Big News at Cyclone Engineering Projects!
October 2024 has been a milestone month, filled with growth and technological advancements! As part of our strategy to diversify and reduce reliance on subcontractors, we’re thrilled to announce a major step forward:
Cutting Edge Drone Equipped with LiDAR
We’ve recently procured a cutting-edge drone equipped with LiDAR and thermal imaging capabilities, enhancing our ability to survey our tailings dams with unmatched accuracy and efficiency. This technology will allow us to complete detailed surveys in a fraction of the time required by traditional methods. With thermal imaging, we can now detect seepage or other hidden geothermal activity that isn’t visible to the naked eye, taking our proactive monitoring to a new level. On top of that, we can now generate comprehensive 2D and 3D models of entire tailings facilities—a relatively new and untapped approach in our field, and one that positions us as pioneers in tailings management solutions. At Cyclone Engineering Projects, we’re committed to providing industry-leading,
innovative solutions for safer and more sustainable tailings facilities.

New Tech at Cyclone Engineering Projects!
We’re thrilled to announce our latest addition: a push rod camera with an impressive reach of 120 meters! This technology will allow us to capture high-quality before -and-after footage for jet rodding, as well as conduct detailed inspections of drain pipes and other infrastructure.
For smaller, intricate applications, we also have a 40-meter, 40mm high definition camera to ensure every detail is covered with precision. At Cyclone Engineering Projects, we’re committed to investing in advanced tools that
enhance our services and deliver the quality you expect.

Jet Rodding Machine
We’ve recently procured a jet rodding machine! With this powerful new equipment, we can now expertly handle jet rodding for penstock outfall pipes, drain pipes, filter toe drains pipes, and more — reaching up to 130 meters.
This capability not only enhances our service range but also strengthens our commitment to delivering comprehensive, top-quality solutions directly to our clients.

We will also be able to structure a whole tailings facility in 2d and 3d, a concept which is relatively new and yet relatively untouched in our industry.
We believe that this addition to our portfolio will enable us to offer these services to our clients at affordable rates and this will help us in ensuring good relationships as well as broaden our commercial footprint.
With the combined skill, knowledge and expertise of our team linked with industry leading cyclone technology of Cyclone Engineering Projects Pty Ltd our cyclone’s outperformed our major competitor’s cyclone system and, in the process, added value to the expectation of the client.

Opportunities
There are multiple opportunities available, we are looking at growing our footprint on the site and area by diversifying our operational strategy to include more services. The only hold back is the client’s approval and funding.
Stibium
Highlights
Project is performing well in terms of our SHEQ, operational and finance targets. Stibium TSF 3 has a life of +/- 1 year on current design. The life of mine with new exploration exceeds 16 years.
Opportunities
We are currently well underway with the first initial stages constructing a new tailing’s facility. This project value is set to over R80 million.
We have tendered quotations to do some of the critical work on this very important project.
Training
Trainings were provided for employees; it is important because it represents a good opportunity for employees to grow their knowledge base and improve their job skills to become more effective in the workplace. Despite the cost of training for employees, the return on investment is immense if it is consistent.
In October, 87 employees from different sites were provided with training and received
certificates.
➢ 29 employees completed First Aid training
➢ 5 employees completed Hydraulic Monitor Gun training
➢ 31 employees completed Mine and Residue training
➢ 8 employees completed TMM training
➢ 3 employees completed Fire Fighting training
➢ 1 employee completed OHS training
➢ 10 employees completed Power Tools training
We would like to thank the training providers who partnered with us to make this training a success: Exclusive Training Services, Inhouse and Prisma.
